TAYLOR-ALEXIS DUPONT

A grand prize winner of the 2023 Lotte Lenya Competition,

Taylor-Alexis DuPont will be engaged with Hawai'i Opera Theatre's production of The Riot Grrrl on Mars,

a Sci-Fi reimagining of Rossini's L'italiana in Algeri as the Title Role. In March, Taylor-Alexis joins New Orleans Opera Association in their production of Richard Strauss' Der Rosenkavalier as Octavian.

 

In Summer of 2025, Taylor-Alexis received notable praise for her portrayal of Sally in the world premiere of The House on Mango Street (Bermel/Cisneros), being hailed as "outstanding" (Theater Life) and "strong-voiced and effusive" (Cordell Reports) with "a powerful instrument" (DC Theater Arts) who "not only does a mean rap, but her mezzo also went on flights of lovely, mellifluous arching phrases." In previous seasons, she has been praised by the Charleston City Paper for her portrayal as Hannah in the world premiere of Spoleto Festival's Ruinous Gods "displaying gorgeous gravitas", and hailed by the Washington Post as a singer with a "beautifully rich and spirited" voice in her Washington National Opera debut in The Passion of Mary Cardwell Dawson.
